For a summary of information on the EASP, see our factsheet here.

The application was originally submitted on December 12, 2013, revised in response to Alachua County staff's sufficiency review, and finalized on June 24, 2014. County staff completed its initial review in August 2014 and released its report August 29, 2014. Weyerhaeuser revised the EASP in response to comments and questions received from County Commissioners, County staff, community members and Envision Alachua Task Force members. This is the revised version of the application, submitted to the County on June 25, 2015. County staff completed its review of the revised application and released its report November 3, 2015. In February 2016, the County Commission began holding public hearings regarding their vote on whether to transmit the application to State agencies for review. On March 1, 2016, the County Comission voted not to transmit the application to State agencies.
