For now, county leaders work to patch leaks, keep fairgrounds open
Alachua County Commissioners talked all things fairgrounds Tuesday: When it'll move to its future location, what to do with the old land after the move and how to keep the failing facility running in the meantime.
… Commissioners said they didn't see their decision about whether to upgrade the old facilities as linked to a possible land swap with the Plum Creek Timber Company, but the topic did come up during a later part of the meeting.
