I have been asked often why I am such a staunch supporter of Envision Alachua. Part of my support comes from my belief in leaders like Todd Powell and Rose Fagler. Part of it comes from watching them build a coalition in Greater Gainesville - residents of all ages, religious backgrounds, economic backgrounds, political backgrounds and philosophical backgrounds - to try to build a community that will benefit all within. Looking at areas that need resources such as better schools, better housing, better paying jobs and diversified business, Envision Alachua has a plan to create opportunities for jobs and education while protecting natural lands and conserving valuable resources.
