UF launches strategic plan
The University of Florida will spend a healthy amount of money and the rest of this year on a plan that weaves together the long-term future growth of the university and the Gainesville area.
Santa Fe College officials are one group outside of UF working with the university on the strategic development plan. County government, city government, Gainesville Regional Utilities, the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce, several local real estate and development companies, Weyerhaeuser (formerly Plum Creek) are also represented along with local community activists Vivian Filer and Albert White.
