Op-Ed by Dale A. Brill: A ladder of opportunity
For generations, pursuit of the American dream has been the primary driver of our nation’s overall success... However, stated candidly, rungs on the ladder of opportunity in Alachua County are missing, putting the next step up for many entirely out of reach.
The plan being presented by Plum Creek and the Envision Alachua Task Force seeks to change that by attracting advanced manufacturing jobs that can provide the kind of entry- and mid-level employment opportunities for advancement that the community so desperately needs.
