4As host general election candidate forum
The Envision Alachua Sector Plan received an endorsement from the African American Accountability Alliance of Alachua County Inc. at a candidate forum.
Rose Fagler, a spokesperson for Plum Creek, said the sector plan is not being developed to replace the Comprehensive Plan. She said it is simply a plan that will allow for economic growth in east Gainesville and eastern Alachua County, while also protecting sensitive wetlands and conservation areas. She said Plum Creek is putting its money where it heart lies.
