Letter to the Editor - Direct growth east
In the smear campaign against the Plum Creek Envision Alachua plan, everybody is blaming the wrong people for water mismanagement in North Florida.
The root cause of groundwater depletion and pollution is growth and sprawl being directed by county governments to interstate highway corridors, built on the dryer aquifer recharge areas.
We should stop the "urban cluster" plan on I-75 and direct growth east, using the planned approach Plum Creek is offering us.
