Plum Creek plan takes first giant step
Plum Creek Timber Company’s plan to develop thousands of acres in eastern Alachua County cleared a large hurdle Thursday night when the county’s planning commission voted to send the plan to the Alachua County Commission for approval.
“It just holds out more promise for this community than anything we've ever been presented with and we probably never will be presented with again,” said Planning Commission chairwoman Jennifer Springfield.
